Welcome to Burkus, a one-person app/game development studio based in Northern Ireland. Established in 2023 by Ronan Burke, Burkus builds a variety of different apps and games.
Our Mission: Blending Tech and Play
Burkus believes in adding a touch of technological innovation to every game we make. Take, for instance, our debut title, Catlists. It's a casual, word-based party game, perfect for singleplayer or multiplayer. Its best feature? Multiplayer without needing an internet connection – just gather your friends or connect through your preferred VOIP service.
Catlists: Offline, Endless, Personalized
Catlists isn't your run-of-the-mill word game. Everyone around the world plays the exact same game, at the same time. Through our unique, offline multiplayer tech, the global community dives into the same live round. The game features randomly generated rounds with unique questions and modifiers. Catlists can be customised with personalized themes and accent colors.
Catlists is available for iPhone/iPad, Android, Microsoft Store (Windows), and Steam (Windows). You can find out more about Catlists in our blog.
Our Approach: Crafting Complete Experiences
Burkus' philosophy is rooted in delivering complete gaming experiences that provide lasting value. From the ability to replay exciting moments to crafting your own unique content, we're dedicated to offering more than just games. As Burkus evolves, our app & game lineup will expand to encompass various genres and platforms.

What's on the Horizon: Stay Tuned
We've had an exciting release of Catlists, but we're not stopping there. Keep an eye out for future updates to Catlists with fixes, improvements, and content updates. When we are ready, we'll be sharing more about our next project.
